I had the privilege of attending one of my favourite person’s salon opening along with one of my girlfriends.
Let’s start from the beginning, Jess created Honestly Ombre in spring of 2017 and I can say I’ve never met anyone who works so hard and is so passionate about their business. I’ve been luckily to watch her journey over the last 18 months of when Honestly Ombre was started and now she’s set up in her own salon in Old Town, in just over a year she’s achieved all of this! The sheer amount of hours she’s worked and lifestyle changes she’s made to achieve this aren’t small and I don’t think this always goes noticed, I mean I know it’s her dream but I can relate as my boys are my life but I also enjoy some time away from them but it’s very hard to find that balance sometimes.
I’d seen snippets of the salon before the launch but I was honestly blown away when we arrived and I’m not just saying this because Jess is a dear friend, just look below and you’ll see how unreal it is. What I love most is the combination of the vibe, the minimalist feel it has with enough to engage in different ways in different rooms and the most important is how the salon is Jess’s brand all over – the moment you walk in you know this isn’t another beauty salon and this one is different. She’s stayed true to her brand and her own style and grown on it with such beautiful features (the pin collection which ties in with her logo, the beautiful tiles, the unbelievable sink in the lobby, the vegan massage bed I could go on and on).
I cannot wait to watch her grow and I’m sure she’ll blow us away with her future ideas.
