Who doesn’t love a bank holiday – over here we just love them if it means more time together ♥

Saturday kicked off with a lovely morning spent at Avebury with the lovely Jade, it was such a perfect little morning. Spending time with Jade is so precious and so easy (by easy I mean it flows well & makes it easier for this mama;) ), seeing her with Rue and watching them together is so warming! I haven’t been to Avebury since Rue was about eight months (post here – link will be live one day ha!) so this time I was looking at it from a different perspective and it was fab! So much green space for kiddies to run around and tire them out 😉 the main area which features the shop, café, toilets and a massive play area with SO many games for little ones, even these fab tractors! Two things to note is there is only one, yes one highchair in the café … and there is only one baby changing facility so if you are walking round the stones bear in mind the walk to get back.

Thank you for getting up early & coming out with us Jade, we love you!

Saturday afternoon Rue & I went to visit Papa down our allotment, papa has been spending a lot of his lunch breaks and any other free time he gets down there lately. He saved up and brought himself a shed and Saturday he put it together all by himself! Some snaps below of our allotment, hopefully next year it’ll look totally different again 🙂

Sunday we didn’t do a huge amount, we brought Rue a trike this week and he’s been a-d-d-i-c-t-e-d to it! So we went out for early morning coffee and Rue was on his trike loving it! I think the sun came out just as it was nap time so we grabbed sometime in the sunshine in peace ha-ha & put some washing on the line  – one of my favourite favourite things to do in summer is using my washing line, sad right but I can’t be the only one? 😉

Monday morning arrived and I jumped up in a fright that it was time for work & I hadn’t prepared anything, it took a minute or two to register that actually I didn’t have too! Is there a better feeling then this?! We got up and had a long breakfast and then we made watermelon smoothies yum & then discussed what to do with our extra day off 🙂 It was our intention to go to the White Horse but the weather was quite overcast so we decided that we’d go to Ikea and buy the unit I’ve been wanting for months for Rue’s room! We’re currently re-doing Rue’s room which is slow progress but we’ll get there, hopefully by the end of the year 🙂

Ikea was fab – who doesn’t love ikea! Rue experienced his first kiddies portion of meatballs and gravy, so cute, he went round the whole of ikea on his trike and was such a good boy!

Rue you was such a good boy the whole bank holiday even with one of your back teethy coming through so thank you babs ♥

Even though you did wake me up at like 3am on Sunday morning for a chat about hair 🙂
